She and two other girls , as teenagers went out in a rowboat on the Chesapeake Bay; to their realisation, without a notice, an outgoing tide had swept them far out from the shore and it was nearly dark.
Then she remembered a statement in the Bible that says "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them" Matt 18:20.
"We have the limit", she said to her friends. She told them God will save them if they prayed. They prayed, and out of the gathering darkness loomed the
lines of a boat. They were taken on board and were carried back to safety.
